Sunday School is on vacation!

Are you among the ambitious and curious, motivated to learn as well as possible and have a real chance to improve your grades at school?

Then you are at the right time and place when you are reading this ad!

The Romanian Orthodox Parish "Saint Hierarch Andrei Șaguna" in Emden welcomes all schoolchildren from grades 1-8, interested in clarifying their doubts about school, improving their school situation and discovering the universe of knowledge.

The "Sunday School", as the name suggests, is an activity that takes place on Sundays at the place of worship, Emsmauerstrße 3, 26721 Emden, starting at 12 o'clock (immediately after the Christian Orthodox, Holy and Divine service Liturgy).

Starting in the fall of 2023, with the start of the 2023-2024 school year, there will be some changes in the "Sunday School" project:

1. The name will change to "Emden Parish School";

2.* Study subjects will be added;

3.* It will most likely take place in 2 days (Saturday and Sunday - depending on requests).

4. The language spoken is and will be Romanian and/or German, being available to all schoolchildren who cross the threshold of our Parish.

*these changes enter into force from September 1, 2023.

In the current "Sunday School" you have a separate room where you can do your homework in peace, where you can meet our dedicated volunteer, George, who can support you every step of the way with patience and fresh knowledge of the educational subjects: Math, Physics and Chemistry .

The hours of Math , Physics and Chemistry they take place, at the moment, every 2 weeks, and are displayed in the Parish Program - click here .

Students accepted for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry are those in grades 1 - 8.

These are currently in full swing.

Along with these materials, we work with intense fire to prepare the material as well Religion (1) , A Romanian language and literature (2) , History (3) and Geography of Romania (4) .

MATERIAL Religion (1) it will be taught exactly as in schools in Romania, it will be that of the Orthodox Cult (majority religion in Romania - 86%) and it will follow a planning (school program) approved by the Ministry of Education in Romania, in collaboration with the Romanian Orthodox Patriarchate. Participants of these courses will be able to receive certificates attesting to the acquisition of information and participation in religious classes. Responsible will be Fr. Vlad. Children accepted for the Religion subject can be a maximum of 18 years old.

we are looking for collaborators, people willing to help the children of the parish learn about our beautiful country.

Teaching subjects 1 , 2 , 3 and 4 within the Emden Parish School will begin with the 2023 - 2024 school year.
